Job summary

nVent Warwick RI is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance leader to drive the QA function and govern the QMS in alignment with ISO 9001 standards. You will lead inspection, testing, data analysis, and CAPA programs while coordinating with suppliers and customers to address non-conformances.

You will mentor a team of quality professionals, lead audits, and champion Lean/Six Sigma improvements across manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • CQE/CQA/CQM certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing quality systems preferred.
  • 3+ years leading teams/leadership experience.
  • Lean principles knowledge (5S, Kaizen, VSM, etc.).
  • ISO management system experience (9001/14001/45001).
  • Advanced root-cause analysis and corrective action skills.
  • Ability to influence workplace dynamics and drive continuous progress.
  • Experience developing and implementing quality procedures and control plans.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the QA function as the principal customer liaison for nVent Warwick.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS (ISO 9001).
  • Oversee quality control activities including inspection, testing, data analysis, and non-conformance management.
  • Manage audit programs with internal/external customers and agencies.
  • Develop and run CAPA processes to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Serve as a quality project leader driving initiatives across QA and cross-functional teams.
  • Champion continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and related methodologies.
  • Support APQP activities for supplier qualifications, new product launches, and engineering changes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality professionals.

What You Will Experience In This Position
  • You will represent the QA function as the principal customer liaison for nVent Warwick facilitating customer engagement and supplier quality management.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Lead all aspects of quality control activities including inspection, testing, data analysis, and non‑conformance management.
  • Manage audit programs in collaboration with internal and external customers and agencies.
  • Develop and run Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Serve as a quality project leader and structured problem‑solving authority, driving initiatives across the Quality function and multi-functional teams.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, and related methodologies.
  • Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for supplier qualifications, new product launches, and engineering changes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality professionals, fostering engagement, capability growth, and performance excellence.
You Have
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Professional certifications in quality management such as CQE, CQM, or CQA preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in manufacturing quality systems preferred.
  • 3+ years leading teams/leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of Lean principles such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, MDI, etc.
  • ISO Management system experience (9001, 14001, 45001, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge in root‑cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Ability to impact the workplace dynamics and cultivate continuous progress across the facility.
  • Experience in developing and implementing quality procedures and control plans.

Our Warwick, RI facility is an ITAR-controlled site. All candidates must be a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.
