Job summary

Metric Bio in Tulsa, OK is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop the quality function within a manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role focuses on building, improving and implementing quality systems rather than maintaining existing programmes.

You will oversee QA across operations, drive CAPA, audits and continuous improvements, and collaborate closely withProduction, Engineering and Maintenance to elevate product quality and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Food & Beverage / Food Manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations.
• Hands-on, self-sufficient leader who drives meaningful change.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to hold teams accountable.
• Degree not required—practical experience and technical knowledge are key.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the site's Quality Management function across manufacturing operations.
• Develop, implement and improve quality systems, processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, food safety requirements and industry standards.
• Identify quality issues and drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Work with Production, Engineering, Operations and Maintenance to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
• Lead internal and external quality audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Develop quality metrics and use data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Build a strong quality culture and provide coaching across the manufacturing team.
• Take ownership of challenges and implement long-term, sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the site's Quality Management function, ensuring consistent standards across manufacturing operations.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve quality systems, processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, food safety requirements and relevant industry standards.
• Identify quality issues and drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Operations and Maintenance to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
• Lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of findings.
• Develop quality metrics and use data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Build a strong quality culture, providing coaching and accountability across the manufacturing team.
• Take ownership of existing challenges and proactively implement long-term, sustainable solutions.

About You

• 5+ years' experience leading Quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Ideally, previous experience within Food & Beverage / Food Manufacturing.
• PCQI and HACCP certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with SQF or BRC auditing.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations.
• Proven ability to build, implement and improve quality systems rather than simply maintain them.
• Hands-on, self-sufficient leader who is comfortable identifying challenges and driving meaningful change.
