Job summary

Interactive Resources - iR seeks an experienced Quality Manager to lead QA and food safety initiatives across our manufacturing facility. You will maintain the site's Quality Management System, ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met, and drive a culture of quality with operations.

The role focuses on audits, CAPA, risk management, process improvements, and data-driven decisions to protect product integrity and support new product launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Food Science, Manufacturing, or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, HACCP, and quality systems.
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Proficient with quality inspection equipment and calibration programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance of Quality Management System and compliance with ISO 9001, HACCP.
  • Lead audits and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Serve as primary quality and food safety resource for the facility.
  • Oversee documentation, procedures, and data integrity.
  • Drive process improvements with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead root cause investigations and CAPA activities.
  • Manage customer complaints from investigation to resolution.
  • Support new product launches and change control.
  • Oversee laboratory operations and calibration programs.
  • Develop and coach the quality team; monitor KPIs and trends.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead all quality assurance and food safety initiatives for a manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the site's Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, leading continuous improvement efforts, and partnering with operations to drive a culture of quality throughout the plant.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the site's Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, HACCP, and other applicable food safety and quality standards
  • Lead internal, customer, and third party audits while ensuring timely resolution of findings and corrective actions
  • Serve as the primary quality and food safety resource for the facility, supporting regulatory compliance and risk management initiatives
  • Oversee quality documentation, procedures, specifications, and document control processes
  • Partner with production, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality
  • Lead root cause investigations, CAPA activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve operational performance
  • Manage customer complaints from investigation through resolution while maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Support new product launches, equipment qualifications, process validations, and change management activities
  • Oversee laboratory operations, product testing, calibration programs, inspection equipment, and quality data integrity
  • Develop, coach, and lead the quality team while ensuring training and qualification requirements are maintained
  • Monitor quality KPIs, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions to improve plant performance
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and maintain product compliance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Food Science, Manufacturing, or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, quality management systems, auditing, CAPA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience supporting customer audits, regulatory inspections, and customer quality requirement
  • Experience with quality inspection equipment, laboratory testing, and calibration programs; CMM experience is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, SPC software, and quality reporting tool
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
