Job summary

KING AND GEORGE LLC is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) in New York. The role will involve developing and maintaining the Quality Control Plan and supervising quality control staff.

The ideal candidate must have an ASQ CMQ/OE certification and at least five years of related experience. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to quality procedures and conducting analysis of inspection data.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in QMS programs.
• Experience cannot include roles as PM or SSHO.

Job description

Scope

Responsible for planning, implementing, and enforcing the Quality Management System (QMS). Independent from operations.

Duties

• Develops and maintains the Quality Control Plan (QCP).
• Ensures quality procedures are applied across all functional areas.
• Supervises Quality Control Managers/inspectors.
• Conducts trend analysis of inspection data, reporting deficiencies and recommending improvements.
• Serves as primary point of contact for Government QAEs.
• Ensures documentation of inspections, tests, and corrective actions are complete and accurate.
• Leads quality awareness training for all contract staff.
• Provides monthly and quarterly quality performance reports.

Mandatory Experience & Certifications

• ASQ CMQ/OE (Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence).
• Minimum five years of experience developing and enforcing QMS programs of similar size, scope, and complexity.
• Cannot be the PM or SSHO.

Preferred / Desirable Certifications

• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
