Job summary

ClearBridge Executive Search is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality systems in a plastics and automotive manufacturing environment. You will develop and maintain ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliant processes, supervise audits, and drive continual improvement across production lines.

You will mentor QA staff, analyze metrics, review PPAPs and control plans, and partner with manufacturing to reduce defects and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing quality management in plastics or automotive sectors.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949; familiarity with QMS and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, HACCP, CGMP, and other standards.
• Lead internal and external quality audits to verify compliance.
• Oversee QA/QC processes including inspection, testing, and validation of plastic injection molded components for automotive applications.
• Manage root cause analysis and corrective action procedures.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production workflows and reduce defects.
• Analyze quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Train and mentor staff on quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Review PPAP submissions, control plans, PFMEA, and process flow diagrams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, HACCP, CGMP, and other relevant standards.
• Lead and coordinate internal and external quality audits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Oversee quality control processes including inspection, testing, and validation of plastic injection molded components for automotive applications.
• Manage root cause analysis and corrective action procedures to address non-conformities swiftly and effectively.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production workflows, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality.
• Conduct regular analysis of quality metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for process enhancements.
• Train and mentor staff on quality systems, inspection techniques, regulatory requirements, and best practices in QA/QC.
• Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards.
• Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to company policies and goals.
• Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality
• Supervise and develop Quality Engineer team
• Review and approve PPAP submissions, control plans, PFMEA's, and process flow diagrams.
• Develop and track quality KPI's including PPM, scrap rates, customer complaints, internal defects
• Ensure compliance with all safety and company policies
• Monitor customer quality performance metrics and implement improvement plans.
• Analyze and establish corrective and preventative actions

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in manufacturing quality management within the plastics or automotive sectors.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards; familiarity with QMS, SOP's, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough quality audits and inspections across complex production environments.
• Expertise in implementing and maintaining robust quality systems and processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Project management skills to lead continuous improvement initiatives effectively.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and ensure understanding of quality expectations.
