Job summary

American Aluminum Extrusion in Roscoe, IL is seeking a Quality Manager to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 QMS, oversee quality policy, process management, supplier quality, and customer-focused CAPA actions to deliver products meeting customer specs.

The ideal candidate will lead QA/QC staff, analyze quality data, drive continuous improvement, and report findings to management. Three to five years in manufacturing quality, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSQ/CQM, or Six Sigma preferred.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma certification is preferred.
• Post-high school education is preferred.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and move parts that weigh up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• ISO 9001 Compliance: Maintain ISO 9001 certification by ensuring QMS processes are implemented, monitored and improved; conduct internal audits and manage external audits.
• Quality Policy & Objectives: Establish and monitor quality objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and reporting performance to management. Develop, revise, and enforce quality policies, procedures, work instructions and control plans.
• Process Management: Define, document, and optimize processes to ensure product/service conformity; integrate quality into all business processes. Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, extrusion standards, and profile tolerances.
• Supplier Quality: Evaluate and manage supplier quality performance; ensure incoming materials meet specifications.
• Customer Focus: Respond to customer complaints, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance quality systems.
• Team Leadership: Train and mentor QA/QC staff on quality standards, ISO requirements, and best practices.
• Data & Reporting: Analyze quality data, prepare reports, and present findings to the management team for decision-making.

Position Overview

The Quality Manager is responsible for overall compliance with AAE’s quality system, including tools, work instructions, and inspections and to release only quality products meeting customer specifications.
