Job summary

Mondi Group in the United States seeks an experienced manufacturing supervisor to lead quality and process improvement initiatives in a packaging/paper environment. You will collaborate with stakeholders, drive corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

With 3+ years in manufacturing and HACCP/SQF training, you will optimize efficiency, mentor staff, and implement robust QA testing.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Three+ years in a manufacturing environment; food converting/packing preferred.
• HACCP course completion and SQF practitioner training required.
• Attention to detail with emphasis on excellence and innovation; strong verbal and written communication skills.
• SAP and ADP knowledge preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, production or manufacturing disciplines preferred.
• Continuous Improvement/Lean management experience preferred.
• Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partners with production staff to ensure compliance with quality protocols, maintain documentation, and implement process improvements
• Builds strong relationships with external partners, including suppliers and customers
• Serves as SQF practitioner and HACCP coordinator for the facility
• Ensures final products meet safety and quality standards while optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Establishes testing protocols and acceptable parameters to maintain quality throughout production
• Applies creative problem-solving under pressure; analyzes data and draws valid conclusions
• Leads quality improvement projects and manages materials on quality hold; provides training on regulations and best practices
• Responds proactively to issues and manages urgent situations professionally
• Interprets technical instructions and resolves complex problems involving abstract and concrete variables
• Identifies root causes and implements effective solutions to maintain standards
