Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co in Olive Branch, Mississippi is looking for an experienced Quality Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining ISO compliance for Quality and Environmental management, overseeing the internal quality manufacturing processes, and providing training on ISO 9001.

The ideal candidate will possess a B.A. in Engineering or a related field, have SMT experience, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. We offer a variety of perks including medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relative experience in a manufacturing or quality role.
• Working knowledge of maintaining ISO 9001 and related standards.
• Solid understanding of quality management practices and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibilities for maintaining ISO compliance for Quality and Environmental management in addition to overseeing internal quality manufacturing management.
• Provide training on ISO 9001.
• Ensure all audit responses are closed out in a proper and timely manner.
• Participate with other senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives.
• Manage and maintain document control for agency compliance, training records, calibration logs.
• Influence the development of corrective and preventative actions. Measure effectiveness of actions ensuring conformity with quality specifications.
• Manage the activities and objectives of the Quality supervisors and leads. Coach subordinates to maintain a continuous quality improvement environment.
• Complete 8D’s and Material Declaration Sheets when necessary.
• Implement metrics and maintain metrics for Management Review.
• Require proficiency in spreadsheet creation, manipulation and display. Exhibit strong data collection and analytical knowledge leading to root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Interpret and execute policies and procedures that affect subordinate work.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of debris.
• Maintain morale of employees to ensure process is completed as scheduled.

Qualifications

• B.A. degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
• SMT Experience is required.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of relative experience.
• Solid product manufacturing comprehension. Computer electronics is a plus.
• Having a working knowledge of maintaining ISO 9001 and other agency standards.
• Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes, influences and containment tactics.
