Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable quality requirements and standards (ISO/ASME).
  • Create, develop, and own the Overall Company Wide Process Landscape.
  • Participate in monthly cross departmental meetings and lead them.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Service, and Leadership to improve quality processes.
  • Oversee machine acceptance and release; withhold release when needed.
  • Administer quality systems, records, and controls; support audits and improvements.
  • Provide guidance and training on quality processes and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis for quality issues and communicate findings.
  • Lead cross-functional quality processes and escalations for accountability.
  • Oversee warranty, SCARs, and supplier quality investigations and resolutions.
  • Manage supplier quality programs, scorecards, and trend analyses.
  • Review and resolve quality concerns and customer complaints; verify effectiveness.
  • Develop quality metrics, reports, and performance indicators.
  • Manage calibration programs for measurement equipment to ensure compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Manager is responsible for the development, administration, and continuous improvement of quality systems, processes, and standards that support organizational objectives, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.

This position leads quality-related initiatives across Operations, Engineering, Service, Supply Chain, and other functional areas to ensure products, processes, and documentation consistently meet internal requirements and customer expectations.

The Quality Manager oversees warranty administration, machine acceptance and release, supplier quality performance, root cause analysis activities, corrective actions, calibration programs, and quality compliance efforts. This role serves as a key partner to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in identifying, escalating, investigating, and resolving quality-related concerns while driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIILITIES:
  • M aintain knowledge of applicable quality requirements, industry standards, customer expectations, and ISO / ASME requirements ; support compliance initiatives.
  • Create, develop, and own the Overall Company Wide Process Landscape. This is to be done through process flow creation, discovery, and documentation.
  • Participate and contribute to monthly cross departmental meetings. This role will also own regular cross departmental meetings.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Service, Supply Chain, and Leadership to establish and improve quality processes, documentation, procedures, and standards.
  • Oversee machine acceptance and quality documentation to ensure requirements are met before release. Own the Machine release process and authority to withhold release when quality, compliance, documentation, or acceptance requirements are unmet .
  • Administer quality system processes, records, documentation, and controls ; support audits, compliance, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support on quality processes, documentation , standards, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives to necessary parties.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis for product, supplier, process, warranty, customer, and other quality issues ; effectively communicate findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional quality processes, investigations, escalations, and corrective actions to drive accountability, resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee warranty claims, returns, RMAs, SCARs, and related investigations ; ensure tracking, documentation, communication, and resolution. Coordinate approved dispositions and recommend ways to reduce warranty costs, failures, and recurring issues.
  • Manage supplier quality programs, including scorecards, metrics, trend analysis, and communication of quality findings.
  • Review and resolve quality concerns, customer complaints, and nonconformances; partner on corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
  • Develop and communicate quality metrics, reports, trend analyses, and performance indicators to support data-driven improvement.
  • Manage calibration and certification programs for measuring devices, gauges, and quality equipment to ensure compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve quality, reduce waste, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance operational effectiveness.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, engineering documentation, and governmental regulations. Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and business communications and effectively present information to management, customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and apply concepts including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical business and manufacturing situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems involving multiple variables and changing priorities and interpret a variety of written, verbal, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to independently prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
