Specialized Staffing in Leetsdale, PA is seeking a Quality Control Manager for a manufacturing client. You will report to the VP of Engineering and lead a team including two inspectors and two quality engineers, ensuring quality across processes and product development from a quality perspective.

This full-time, on-site role features an 8-hour workday with flexible start/end times, 10-15% travel to Maryland, and a salary range of 90k–105k plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quality or engineering with progressive QA/manufacturing experience.
• Strong ISO principles, audits and process improvement in manufacturing.
• ERP software exposure is required.
• Proven team leadership and cross-level communication.
• CQE or CMQ certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.

Job description

We are looking for a Quality Control Manager for a manufacturer of industrial products. Reporting the VP of Engineering this person will have direct reports, including two inspectors, and two quality engineers.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing quality control processes, initiatives and improvements throughout the company
• Company ISO representative, responsible for maintaining ISO certification including audits
• Implementing lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Responding to employee, customer and vendor questions regarding quality. Resolving issues, corrective action and improvement of quality processes
• Helping engineering with product development from a quality perspective
• Gathering data, analyzing information and writing reports, training materials, SOP's, and plans
• Development of quality processes and policies

This company has two locations and approximately 300 employees. This person will work in the main location, which is in Leetsdale, PA. Day travel to the Maryland location, is 10-15 percent. Full time daylight 8 hour Monday- Friday work schedule, with some flex on start and end times. After settling in, this person can choose to work at home one day per week, otherwise this is an on site position. Positive team environment with a growing company that cares about employees.

Salary is expected to be in the range of 90-105K, plus benefits package.

Qualifications

• We require a Bachelors Degree in Quality or Engineering and progressive experience in quality control in manufacturing
• Strong experience of managing ISO principles, audits and process improvementin manufacturing
• ERP software exposure
• Ability to lead a team and communicate with people at all levels. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, easy going, and not a micromanager.
• CQE and CMQ certification is preferred or ability to get that (company will pay for it)
• Must be able to pass a preemployment background check
