Job summary

Viking Plastics in Jeffersonville, Indiana is seeking a Quality Systems Manager to develop and maintain an IATF 16949 based quality system ensuring product conformance and reliability.

You will lead QMS audits, drive PPAP submissions, implement SPC, and collaborate across departments to meet customer specs and quality targets.

Qualifications

  • Maintain, audit, and improve the QMS to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Support ISO9001 certification and compliance initiatives.
  • Lead PPAP requirements and submissions.
  • Implement SPC capability (CpK, Ppk) data interpretation to stabilize processes and reduce variations.
  • Develop and implement a quality assurance program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards.
  • Revise/update the Quality Policy Manual to incorporate statistical control programs.
  • Create and document all quality-related procedures in compliance with IATF 16949 regulations.
  • Create and document all work instructions in compliance with IATF 16949 regulations.
  • Prepares for and represents the company during all quality related audits.
  • Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.

Job description

This position is charged with developing and maintaining an IATF 16949 based quality system to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. All managers within the manufacturing operations will be reporting to this position in all matters concerning quality.
