Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions, a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives at the Hamden, CT site. You will oversee product and process quality, drive continuous improvement, and manage customer/supplier quality requirements with accountability to corporate metrics.

Travel up to 30% is required as you coordinate QA across Spectra Strip sites in Mexico, Vietnam, and China, and present metrics to management.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Quality management experience with supervisory and leadership skills.
• Experience leading continuous improvement programs and formal QA processes.

• Manage product and process quality to meet customer metrics and formal continuous improvement programs.
• Oversee compliance functions and supervise the Compliance Engineer.
• Manage customer quality requirements through documentation review, process capability/control, and detailed inspection plans.
• Lead quality personnel and site metrics; present business unit quality metrics to corporate management.
• Coordinate QA functions and share best practices; drive QA methods across multiple sites; travel up to 30%.

• Position Summary: Quality Manager
• Location: Hamden, CT

Amphenol Spectra-Strip is a leader in hyper scale data center bulk wire solutions. We develop and manufacture gigabit copper cable solutions for high performance and cloud compute applications. We are currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team in Hamden, CT.

• Manage product and process quality to meet customer satisfaction metrics through formal continuous improvement programs.
• Overall responsibility for compliance functions, direct supervisor to Compliance Engineer.
• Manage customer quality requirements through documentation review, process capability/control, and detailed inspection plans.
• Responsible for quality planning and supervision of quality personnel to site-specific quality metrics.
• Responsible for presentation of business unit level quality metrics to corporate management.
• Responsible for managing all quality related aspects of customer and supplier relationships, including management of both customer and supplier corrective action processes.
• Coordinate QA functions, sharing of best practices, and drive the evolution of QA methods/systems between Spectra Strip Hamden and other Spectra Strip sites located in Mexico, Vietnam, and China. Up to 30% travel required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Quality management experience with strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Working knowledge and proven leadership in continuous improvement activities and formal programs.
• Customer and supplier communication and presentations.
