Job summary

Amphenol Spectra-Strip, a division of Amphenol Corporation, invites applications for a Quality Manager in Hamden, CT. You will lead product and process quality initiatives and drive compliance across the site, reporting to senior management and coordinating with the Compliance Engineer.

You will guide QA programs, review customer quality requirements, and manage supplier relations while steering continuous improvement efforts. Up to 30% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Quality management experience with supervisory and leadership skills.
• Working knowledge and proven leadership in continuous improvement activities and formal programs.
• Customer and supplier communication and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Manage product and process quality to meet customer satisfaction metrics through formal continuous improvement programs.
• Overall responsibility for compliance functions, direct supervisor to Compliance Engineer
• Manage customer quality requirements through documentation review, process capability/control, and detailed inspection plans.
• Responsible for quality planning and supervision of quality personnel to site-specific quality metrics.
• Responsible for presentation of business unit level quality metrics to corporate management.
• Responsible for managing all quality related aspects of customer and supplier relationships, including management of both customer and supplier corrective action processes.
• Coordinate QA functions, sharing of best practices, and drive the evolution of QA methods/systems between Spectra Strip Hamden and other Spectra Strip sites located in Mexico, Vietnam, and China. Up to 30% travel required.

Amphenol Spectra-Strip is a leader in hyper scale data center bulk wire solutions. We develop and manufacture gigabit copper cable solutions for high performance and cloud compute applications. We are currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team in Hamden, CT.
