Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality management system across our food production operations. You will ensure product safety, regulatory compliance (FDA) and drive Lean Six Sigma improvements to reduce variation and improve yield and safety.

You will oversee audits, CAPA, supplier quality and process improvements while mentoring staff and collaborating with production, R&D and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive quality leadership in food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FSMA/SQF or equivalent programs.
  • Proven Lean Six Sigma project experience (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
  • Experience managing internal/external audits and regulatory compliance with measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Quality Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and maintain the quality management system for our food production operations. The role is responsible for ensuring product safety, regulatory compliance (including FDA requirements), and continuous improvement across food plants. The Quality Manager will develop and enforce quality policies, oversee audits and inspections, and collaborate with production, R&D and supply chain teams to drive Lean Six Sigma improvements that reduce variation and improve yield and safety.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) for all food plant operations, ensuring alignment with company policies and FDA regulations.

  • Oversee HACCP, GMP, SQF/FSMA or equivalent food safety programs and ensure documentation and record-keeping are accurate and audit-ready.

  • Plan and manage internal and external audits, third‑party certifications, and FDA inspections; respond to regulatory findings and implement corrective action plans.

  • Investigate quality incidents, customer complaints and non‑conformances; lead root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Collaborate with production, engineering and supply chain to integrate quality requirements into processes and new product introductions.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, variability and cost while improving product quality and safety.

  • Train and mentor plant staff on quality systems, food safety practices and regulatory requirements; promote a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and report quality metrics (e.g., OOS, yield loss, customer returns, audit scores) to senior management and recommend action plans.

  • Manage supplier quality, including supplier qualification, monitoring, audits and approval of corrective actions.

  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality and laboratory equipment and enforce laboratory best practices and data integrity.


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of progressive quality management experience in food manufacturing/food plants, including hands‑on experience with FDA‑regulated products and inspections.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP), GMPs, FSMA/SQF or equivalent certification programs.

  • Proven experience implementing and leading Lean Six Sigma projects (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).

  • Demonstrated experience managing audits, corrective actions and regulatory compliance with measurable outcomes.

  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience using root cause analysis tools and quality data systems.

  • Strong leadership, communication and training skills with experience influencing cross‑functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and travel to plant sites as required.
