Job summary

Auria in Fremont, OH, seeks a Quality Manager to lead all Quality Assurance functions at the plant. You will direct teams, ensure compliance with OEM requirements, and drive quality improvements across processes and suppliers.

The role interfaces with Manufacturing and support functions, represents the site to customers on quality matters, and oversees PPAP, PSO and launch activities. A bachelor’s degree and 5 years in automotive quality are required, with strong leadership and ISO/IATF

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering sciences, business, management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management, preferably automotive.
• Experience with GM, Ford, FCA, Honda preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the performance and employees of all Quality Assurance functions.
• Ensure compliance to Customer Quality Standard Requirements and OEM standards.
• Interface with Manufacturing and Support functions to drive quality improvements.
• Represent the Plant with external customers in quality-related matters.
• Notify management of information pertaining to product or process quality.
• Oversee PPAP, PSO, and launch activities and ensure supplier quality.

Auira is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,700 people worldwide. We are currently searching for a Quality Manager to join our team at our plant in Fremont, OH.

What you will do:

• Direct the performance and employees of all Quality Assured functions
• Ensures compliance to all Customer Quality Standard Requirements
• Interfaces with Manufacturing and Support functions
• Represents the Plant with external customers in quality-related matters
• Notifies management of all information pertaining to product or process quality
• Assure compliance with OSHA, IATF 16949, CNCA-C11-09:2014 CCC Standards, ISO 14001, and Corporate Safety and Housekeeping requirements and policies as well as Plant Safety goals
• Responsible for driving Quality initiatives, PPM reduction, written concern reductions, RPN reduction, root cause problem solving, and layered process auditing
• Ensures Quality of all external suppliers
• Responsible for all launch related activities concerning PPAP, PSO, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences, Business, Management, or equivalent experience required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Management, preferably in an automotive environment
• Experience with GM, Ford, FCA, Honda preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

• Knowledge of OEM Quality Compliance Requirements
• Tier 1 automotive experience with working knowledge of customer systems preferred.
• Experience in utilization and implementation of ISO9000, QS-9000, IATF 16949, CCC Quality Standards
• Evidence of strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication, problem solving, planning, and leadership skills necessary
• Strong personal computer (PC) skills utilizing Windows software applications
• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
