Auria is seeking an Engineering Manager for our Sidney Plant in Sidney, Ohio. This on-site leadership role oversees engineering activities, drives process improvements, and collaborates with customer and corporate groups to support launches. You will guide engineers, manage capital projects, and ensure equipment and processes meet requirements while advancing new technologies across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field is required.
• Five or more years in a supervisory/management role preferred.

Auria is a leading global supplier of highly engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.

We are currently searching for Engineering Manager to join our team at our Sidney Plant in Sidney, Ohio. This position is hands on in supporting the plant's Engineering activities.

Responsibilities Overview

• Provide direction and support for development of production processes and systems to be utilized for new and existing business.
• Promote and enforce adherence to all safety policies and procedures within department.
• Guide, monitor, and manage the preparation of capital equipment budgets and tooling budgets for new business programs or new processes.
• Responsible for preparation and requests for the maintenance and operation of all equipment and plant facilities.
• Conduct part design / manufacturing feasibility reviews.
• Monitor compliance with Product Program Schedules for all program related activities.
• Manage and develop team of Engineers, including managing the career development
• Work cross functionally with customer and Corporate Engineering groups to provide required resources for launch support activities.
• Drives continuous improvement efforts within current process technologies and in development and implementation of new technologies.
• Provides cost and timing estimates as required for tooling, equipment, and packaging changes.
• Promotes Safety and Ergonomics in all phases of engineering.
• Ensure contractors under engineering direction are following Auria safety policies and procedures
• Review and approve plant activities in support of design engineering changes and new and existing programs.
• Supervise technical support to manufacturing to ensure all tools, equipment, and processes are meeting requirements
• Track actual and forecast capital spending by line item and asset tag detail for capital projects.
• Develop and maintain capacity analysis studies to provide input to corporate and customer volume inquiries.
• Review and update Bill of Material and Process Routing documentation
• Review, approve and track Engineering Change Requests (ERCs) and Engineering Change Notifications (ENCs)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical experience with a minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory / management position preferred
• Previous experience working in Manufacturing environment, preferably at Tier 1 supplier
