Job summary

Accentuate Staffing is partnering with an established fire protection products manufacturer hiring a Quality Manager for its Angier operation. This onsite, full-time role requires hands-on quality leadership in a manufacturing setting and a disciplined approach to regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will oversee QA activities across the site, manage supplier and customer quality issues, and drive ISO 9001 compliance while supporting continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing/technical field.
• At least five years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment with instrumentation and wet chemical analysis.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing plant and laboratory; travel up to 10%.
• Experience with chemical blending and laboratory methods (FTIR, LC-MS/MS, PFAS TOPA) or US government standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site quality assurance program across raw-material suppliers, manufacturing, distribution, and customer locations; supervise the QA Technician.
• Own customer quality investigations, warranty claims, returns, and the technical services program for customer-submitted foam samples; collaborate with Marketing and Product Management on improvements.
• Maintain third-party listings and audits (UL, FM, USCG, NAVSEA, DCMA); lead ISO 9001 compliance and certification audits.
• Manage quality transactions and lot integrity in the ERP system; strengthen raw-material and plant quality processes; support EH&S programs.

Accentuate Staffing is partnering with an established fire protection products manufacturer that is hiring a Quality Manager for its firefighting foam operation in Angier. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers excellent benefits and a salary commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate brings hands-on manufacturing quality leadership, strong technical judgment, and a disciplined approach to regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the site quality assurance program across raw-material suppliers, manufacturing, distribution, and customer locations, including direct supervision of the Quality Assurance Technician.
2. Own customer quality investigations, warranty claims, returns, and the technical services program for customer-submitted foam samples; partner with Marketing and Product Management on improvements and growth opportunities.
3. Maintain third-party listings, follow-up procedures, standards, records, and audits for organizations such as UL, FM, the U.S. Coast Guard, NAVSEA, and DCMA; lead ISO 9001 compliance and certification audits.
4. Manage quality transactions and lot integrity in the ERP system, strengthen raw-material and plant quality processes, identify continuous-improvement opportunities, provide backup laboratory testing, and support site environmental, health, and safety programs.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree and at least five years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of manufacturing processes, instrumentation, measuring techniques, and wet chemical analysis.
2. Strong communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and exceptional organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
3. Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing plant and laboratory and travel up to 10 percent.
4. Experience with chemical blending, advanced laboratory methods such as FTIR, LC-MS/MS, or PFAS TOPA, U.S. government standards, or customer technical services is preferred.
