Job summary

Linesets, Inc. is seeking a Quality & Maintenance Technician to support the Phoenix plant. This full-time, on-site role focuses on equipment reliability, quality verification, and continuous improvement across HVAC line set production.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and train operators to meet quality standards, while supporting automation projects and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of manufacturing, maintenance, quality, or technical operations experience.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting ability and experience performing preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to read technical documents and work instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and manual dexterity.
  • Physical ability to stand, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair production equipment to ensure reliability and uptime.
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.
  • Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to reduce defects.
  • Train operators on equipment operation and quality standards.
  • Support process improvements, startups, and changeovers to boost efficiency.

Role Description

The Quality & Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at our Phoenix, AZ facility. We are seeking a new team member to support manufacturing operations at our HVAC line set production facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, product quality, and continuous improvement within the plant. The successful candidate will serve as the technical resource for maintenance, troubleshooting, quality verification, process improvement, and operator training.

This position plays a critical role in reducing downtime, preventing quality issues, improving operational efficiency, and supporting future automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring all maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality activities are performed safely and in compliance with company policies.

Maintenance

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance records
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and automation projects

Quality

  • Conduct routine quality inspections throughout production
  • Verify product conformance to specifications
  • Identify and address process deviations before defects reach customers
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
  • Develop and improve standard operating procedures
  • Reduce scrap, waste, and downtime
  • Improve startup and changeover performance
  • Train operators on equipment operation and quality standards
  • Support process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of manufacturing, maintenance, quality, or technical operations experience
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance
  • Ability to read technical documents and work instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred

Preferred

  • Manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Quality inspection or quality systems experience
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • HVAC, tubing, extrusion, converting, or packaging industry experience

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage based on experience and demonstrated technical ability, with future performance-based bonus opportunities tied to operational improvements and success.

Reporting Structure

  • This position reports directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing and serves as the primary technical resource within the facility.
