Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Learning and Development Instructional Designer for the Quality team. You will design, develop, and continuously improve training content that enables employees, suppliers, and cross-functional partners to meet AS9100/ISO 9001 standards and Anduril requirements, spanning eLearning, ILT, SOPs, and job aids.

You will work with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Compliance to translate process changes into training, establish lifecycle

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in instructional design or learning experience design with 2+ years in quality/manufacturing/regulatory settings.
• Proficient with eLearning tools and LMS platforms.
• Translate complex regulatory content into learner-friendly materials.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• U.S. Person eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop role-based training curricula aligned to AS9100, ISO 9001 and internal QMS requirements; ensure content is current and audit-ready.
• Conduct training needs analyses across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and field operations to identify knowledge gaps.
• Create multi-format learning assets—eLearning, instructor-led training, SOPs, videos, job aids—tailored to diverse learners.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Compliance to update training content.
• Maintain a training content lifecycle with version control and retirement workflows.
• Define and track training effectiveness metrics and use data to improve content.
• Support internal and external quality audits with training records and traceability.
• Evaluate LMS/LXP platforms and authoring tools to scale with growth and regulatory needs.
