Job summary

OMG Inc. in Agawam, MA seeks a Quality Manager to lead the site quality organization and own manufacturing quality, CAPA, and the QMS. This role drives defect investigations, supplier quality, and alignment with NPD and operations to deliver compliant, manufacturable products.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality systems, statistics, control plans, and leadership, with experience guiding cross-functional teams and achieving continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or relevant experience.
• 10+ years of leading and implementing quality improvements.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate a team.
• Knowledge of quality methods, statistics, control plans, sampling, and auditing.
• LSS and ASQ certifications preferred; experience with CAPA.
• Proficient with MS Office and Minitab; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety as the Number One priority for OMG employees.
• Lead and develop the site quality team with coaching and performance management.
• Own Agawam manufacturing quality and drive control plans and nonconforming material management.
• Lead defect tracking, root cause investigations, and CAPA management.
• Manage customer quality complaints and returns; primary quality contact.
• Oversee supplier quality including new supplier qualification and corrective action.
• Maintain OMG QMS, conduct internal audits, ensure standards compliance.
• Support NPD stage gate; partner on production readiness and validation.
• Drive quality metrics, continuous improvement, and cost of quality reduction.
