Position Overview

OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster®. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The quality of our products and services is critical to the success of our company and our customers. The Quality Technician evaluates products and processes for compliance with appropriate specifications and requirements. This key position performs routine and special tests and inspections, trains operators on quality procedures, prepares summaries of collected data to support other internal departments and works directly and independently with Manufacturing, Product Development, Engineering, and other departments to drive compliance and achievement of our Quality goals.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical experience or associate degree in a related discipline, additional education in Statistical Quality Control/Statistical Process-Control, Six Sigma, or related coursework is preferred.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing or quality experience in an industrial environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices.
• Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.
• The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time.
• The position requires good close vision and depth perception.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds.
