Job summary

Hernon in Florida is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System, ensure ISO 9001 compliance, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You will work with Production, Engineering, Laboratory, Purchasing, and Commercial teams to resolve issues, manage corrective actions, and maintain day‑to‑day quality controls while developing the Quality team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior quality management or supervisory experience.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including audits, corrective actions, document control, and management review.
• Experience investigating manufacturing quality problems and leading root‑cause and corrective‑action activities.
• Experience with customer complaints, supplier quality, inspection, and product‑conformity requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop employees in a hands‑on working environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Hernon's Quality Management System and ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Investigate quality issues and resolve problems with production, engineering, laboratory, purchasing and commercial teams.
• Manage corrective actions and support inspections and day‑to‑day quality operations.
• Develop and maintain quality systems, process controls, and practices to prevent defects.
• Provide senior management with visibility of quality performance, risks, and open actions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline

8+ years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing

Quality management experience (supervisory)

ISO 9001 Quality Management System experience (audits, corrective actions, document control)

Root-cause analysis & problem-solving (5 Why, 8D)

Cross-functional collaboration and leadership

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Experience with customer complaints, supplier quality, inspection, and product conformity
