Job summary

Avon Protection in Salem, NH is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee and continuously improve the Quality Management System for the Salem site and related entities. You will report out key quality metrics, drive defect reduction, and support new product launches while ensuring compliance with defense customer configurations.

The role leads quality engineers and supervisors, requiring ISO 9001:2015 expertise, Lean/Six Sigma experience, ERP/MIS tools, and strong data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 7–10 years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing.
• 3–5 years as primary owner/administrator of an ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
• Experience leading internal audits, CAPA, root cause analysis, and management reviews.
• Proven track record in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex data for decision making.
• Advanced Excel skills and data visualization.
• Experience with ERP, MES, QMS, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety rules and Avon Protection guidelines.
• Manage and improve ISO 9001:2015 certification and reporting of key quality metrics.
• Lead supplier and customer relationships management.
• Develop internal quality team to industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with customer configurations in defense.
• Lead risk management techniques (FMEA, 5Why, 8D).
• Maintain and organize quality records and procedures.
• Participate in Lean initiatives and Kaizen events.
• Support new product design and launches with QA input.
