Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply is seeking a Quality Lead to ensure aluminum products meet EMS and customer specs. You will inspect materials, in-process and finished items, run quality tests, and support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives in EMS manufacturing and distribution settings.

The role requires attention to detail, experience with precision instruments, and collaboration with production and engineering to resolve issues and maintain ISO standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Read, write and communicate in English effectively.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection standards.

Responsibilities

• Audit workers in inspection and testing to ensure quality and integrity.
• Inspect incoming inventory for defects and dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured products.
• Perform mechanical and visual tests using precision tools.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records per ISO.
• Identify non-conforming products and assist root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse and engineering to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with ASTM, ISO and customer requirements.
• Participate in 6S, Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement efforts.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
