Arc at Normal is seeking a Laundry Aide to perform the day‑to‑day Laundry Department functions, ensuring high‑quality laundry services while safeguarding residents’ health, safety, and welfare in a clean, sanitary facility.

Essential duties include sorting, washing, drying, folding or hanging linen and garments according to procedures and infection control standards, and maintaining a clean, hazard‑free work area for staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school degree or its equivalent.
• Must demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold or hang, and distribute laundry, linen, garments, etc. in accordance with established procedures and infection control standards.
• Assure that work/assignment areas are maintained, clean, and free of hazardous conditions.
