Job summary

Accelera seeks a Quality Launch Lead to spearhead quality planning and execution for complex manufacturing projects from quotation through full-scale production. You will ensure products meet automotive standards while driving cross-functional teams toward high-quality launches.

Lead APQP initiatives, manage PPAP, facilitate FMEA and risk assessments, and serve as the primary contact for OEM and Tier 1 customers, driving continuous quality improvements across the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Proven automotive quality management experience, specifically in launch environments.
• Deep expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving.
• Strong ability to read GD&T and complex engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and Cp/Cpk studies.

Responsibilities

• Direct APQP initiatives to ensure milestones are met on time and within quality specs.
• Manage PPAP to secure timely customer approvals and project sign-offs.
• Facilitate FMEA and risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate issues.
• Serve as main quality contact for OEM and Tier 1 customers regarding quality performance.
• Analyze KPIs such as scrap, rework, and cost of poor quality to drive improvement.
• Oversee MSA and SPC to ensure process capability and data integrity.
• Collaborate with suppliers to verify quality requirements and support performance development.

You will act as the primary quality advocate, ensuring that all products meet rigorous automotive standards while driving cross-functional teams toward successful, high-quality launches.

Responsibilities

• Direct Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within quality specifications.
• Manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to secure timely customer approvals and project sign-offs.
• Facilitate Process FMEA and risk assessment sessions to proactively identify and mitigate potential production issues.
• Serve as the main point of contact for OEM and Tier 1 customers regarding quality performance, corrective actions, and technical audits.
• Analyze key performance indicators such as scrap, rework, and cost of poor quality to drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor.
• Oversee measurement system strategies, including MSA and SPC, to ensure process capability and data integrity.
• Collaborate with suppliers to verify compliance with quality requirements and support performance development.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in automotive quality management, specifically within launch environments.
• Deep expertise in automotive core tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting GD&T and complex engineering blueprints.
• Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and process capability studies (Cp/Cpk).

Preferred Skills

• Experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP and Quality Management Systems.
• Background in metal forming, stamping, or assembly manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global production environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on building strong customer and supplier relationships.
