Job summary

Lactalis USA in Brattleboro, VT is hiring a Quality Lab Technician for the 3rd shift (Sun-Thurs 10pm-6:30am). You will perform and document testing of materials and finished products, conduct microbiological and physical/chemical analyses, and ensure compliance with specifications while supporting a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 1-2 years in QA environment preferred.
• Experience in clean environments; aseptic methods; bacteriological culture and analyses.
• Ability to interpret lab results and communicate findings clearly.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and job-related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document testing of materials and finished products.
• Conduct microbiological analysis of raw materials and products.
• Determine hold/release/rejection decisions for finished goods.
• Perform physical and chemical analysis of inputs and manufactured products.
• Verify compliance with product specs and alert QA Manager to deviations.
• Conduct temperature checks, ingredient usage, and pH testing; verify codes.
• Perform sensory evaluation of materials and products.
• Conduct environmental testing as required.
• Wear required laboratory and safety gear.

Quality Lab Technician

This position is 3rd Shift Sun-Thurs 10pm-6:30a

Skills Needed

• Perform and document testing of materials and finished products.
• Perform microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products.
• Responsible for hold/release/rejection of finished goods.
• Perform physical and chemical analysis of raw materials and manufactured products.
• Verify compliance and alert QA Manager of any deviations from approved product specifications.
• Perform in temperature checks, ingredient usage and distribution, finished product appearance, code date verification, pH testing and metal detection verification.
• Perform sensory evaluation of raw material and finished products
• Perform environmental testing.
• Wear Company appropriate laboratory and safety gear as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of High School diploma or GED; 1-2 years' experience in related Quality Assurance environment.
• Experience working in a "clean" environment, utilizing aseptic methodologies, and performing bacteriological culture and laboratory analyses.
• Ability to understand, operate, and interpret results derived through typical laboratory testing procedures.
• Communicate effectively and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
• Take direction and follow instructions accurately.
• Work well with peers and supervisors in team process.
• Proficient in Word and Excel and job-related software applications.
