Job summary

Henkel in United States (Brandon, SD) seeks a quality control specialist to perform testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products, ensuring adherence to standards. The role supports investigations, maintains records, and helps drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Quality laboratory work experience or in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, core tools, root-cause analysis and incident investigation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, HACCP principles, and environmental health and safety standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control testing on incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze, calculate, and document test results while maintaining complete laboratory records.
  • Develop and execute laboratory testing methods, generate technical reports, and maintain documentation.
  • Support quality investigations, including customer complaints, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain retain samples, ensure lab organization, and uphold a clean and safe work environment.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in quality, compliance, and continuous improvement projects.

What you’ll do
  • Perform quality control testing on incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze, calculate, and accurately document test results while maintaining complete laboratory records.
  • Develop and execute laboratory testing methods, generate technical reports, and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Support quality investigations, including customer complaints, non-conformances, and corrective action activities.

Shifts Available
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6am-2pm
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 10p-6a
What makes you a good fit
  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline preferred, but not required. HSD required.
  • Experience working in a quality laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, quality core tools, root cause analysis, and incident investigation techniques.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and DMAIC.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, risk assessment processes, HACCP principles, and environmental health and safety standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.

The salary range for this role is $44,700.00 - $46,800.00 This range reflects the good-faith minimum and maximum hourly rate the Company reasonably expects to offer for this position at the time of posting. This role is classified as non-exempt, and employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. In addition to the hourly wage, employees in this position may be eligible for shift differentials, premium pay, bonuses, or other forms of compensation, depending on role and location. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, training, certifications, and work location.
