Base pay range

Job Title: Quality Lab Associate I – 3rd Shift

Estimated Salary: $64,000 – $88,000 per year

Overview

This role involves performing biological, chemical, and physical testing on pharmaceutical products—including biologics and drugs—through all manufacturing stages, from raw materials to final goods. The position also supports environmental monitoring programs to ensure compliance and product quality.

Candidates must be able to work third shift, including weekends when needed for training or project support. Note: Applicants must not have allergies to Penicillin, Cephalosporin, or related products.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, final products, and environmental samples.
• Operate and maintain advanced lab instrumentation such as HPLC, FTIR, UV, and GC systems.
• Perform detailed assays requiring strong analytical capabilities and knowledge of biological and chemical principles.
• Ensure all testing and documentation meet internal SOPs, FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP standards.
• Maintain accurate lab records and enter data into LIMS and controlled documents.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN principles such as 6S and Kaizens.
• Support manufacturing and lab audits; assist with SOP reviews and updates.
• Investigate and document deviations, out-of-specifications (OOS), and out-of-trend (OOT) results.
• Perform equipment maintenance and calibrations as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready lab environment.
• Proactively communicate with peers and leadership to share progress and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant lab experience preferred.
• Familiarity with LIMS and Empower CDS software is a plus.
• Basic understanding of GLP, cGMP, USP, and ICH guidelines is beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Must not be color blind.
• Willingness to work weekends as needed.
• Base salary estimated between $64,000 – $88,000, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
• May be eligible for discretionary bonuses or other incentives.
