Quality Technologist (Chemical Lab)

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Technologist (Chemical Lab) to join our Quality Assurance Team based in Shah Alam, Selangor.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting chemical analysis, monitoring product quality, supporting laboratory excellence initiatives, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. You will work closely with Brewing, Packaging, Production, and Quality teams to maintain product integrity, support troubleshooting activities, and drive continuous improvement across laboratory operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform routine chemical analysis and laboratory testing to ensure raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet quality specifications.
  • Monitor quality trends and identify deviations, supporting corrective actions to maintain product consistency and compliance.
  • Conduct instrument verification and calibration checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
  • Support troubleshooting and technical investigations by providing laboratory expertise and analysis.
  • Monitor brewing trials and perform shelf-life studies to evaluate product quality and stability.
  • Maintain laboratory 5S standards and support laboratory excellence initiatives to drive operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in hygiene audits and food safety activities to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend opportunities to enhance laboratory processes and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Brewing, Packaging, Production, and Maintenance to uphold quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of laboratory results in compliance with quality management requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance, laboratory operations, or a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of chemical analysis and laboratory testing techniques.
  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and quality management systems.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate accurate laboratory reports.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule.
  • Experience in food and beverage manufacturing will be an added advantage.
