Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Quality Lab Tech at our Beshert branch in Houston to prepare and test specimens for tensile, hardness, Charpy impact and other tests. You will assist in calibration of lab equipment and ensure specimens meet ASTM requirements.

The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and collaboration with the QA Manager. A high school diploma and 2 years in steel quality control are expected; we offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years steel/quality control experience.
• Familiarization with inspection tools and procedures.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to work accurately, independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Material testing.
• Compliance to ASTM/ASME standards as required by customers.
• Operate the specimen testing lab; sample prep and physical testing; record keeping.
• M.T.R. – Mill Test Reports: documentation of test certificates and delivery to customers.
• Operational quality: defect training and continuous improvement.
