Job summary

Oerlikon seeks a Quality Lab Technician at our Plymouth, MI facility. You will perform laboratory testing to ensure materials and products meet requirements and maintain quality records to support production.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and an associate degree in chemistry is preferred. Strong MS Office skills and good communication are essential, plus safety consciousness and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Chemistry preferred.
• Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Safety conscious and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently performs Laboratory analysis using established standards.
• Maintains quality records in line with Nadcap/ISO and other standards.
• Works with manufacturing to provide accurate testing of products.
• Prepares reports, certifications and SPC charts.
• Submits samples to outside labs and follows up for results.
• Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment.
• Reviews calibration status and ensures timely recalibrations.
• Maintains all quality records and retrieves documents on request.
• Assists QA team with proposals, reports, and data entry.
