Job summary

Aviagen in the United States, Georgia is seeking a Lab Quality Technician to manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory quality system and coordinate activities to meet ISO requirements. You will monitor performance and distribute reports to ensure ongoing compliance.

You will liaise with internal Lab Quality and Technical Specialists, handle sample processing, inventory, procedures, and data entry, and be ready for weekend rotations while upholding biosecurity and safety standards.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory quality system.

• Accurately process samples in a time efficient manner.
• Follow procedures outlined in laboratory work instructions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests under direct supervision and prepare media and solutions.
• Enter samples and results into the laboratory data management system.
• Be willing to work weekend rotations as necessary.
• Adhere to biosecurity, animal welfare, safety, ISO 17025 accreditation, and drugs/alcohol policies.
• Attend normal working hours as determined by Laboratory Management.
• Maintain good laboratory hygiene and assist with other duties as required.
