Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma/ GED with an AA or BS in food science, biology, or chemistry a plus.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a quality function.
• Strong math and communication skills to read and follow written procedures.
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and SQF guidelines.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Gather samples and perform analyses.
• Interpret and record results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Audit processes within the plant for compliance to standards.
• Prepare and maintain reagents and solutions for analyses.
• Inspect equipment prior to and during production.
• Champion the shelf-life program.
• Ensure product conforms to finished product specifications via sensory evaluation and testing.
• Perform micro testing, chemical and physical analyses on raw and finished products.
• Maintain and organize QA records and COAs as required.
• Inspect transfer, mixing and processing equipment for cleaning and quality practices.
• Participate in sensory evaluation.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
