Job summary

Cormetech, Inc. is seeking a Quality Lab Associate to test raw materials, catalyst strength, geometry, physical properties, and batch characteristics. The role involves audits of workflow, control plans, and finished goods workmanship, with data review and documentation responsibilities.

The position is based in Cleveland, TN, on a 2.2.3 rotating schedule (7:00 am–7:30 pm), in a team‑oriented lab environment on the manufacturing floor. Strong attention to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Science or 2+ years lab experience.
• Certification in Mixing, Activation or FGI.
• Strong communications skills.
• Troubleshooting abilities.
• Self-motivated, independent worker; detail oriented.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts and varied production hours.
• Commitment to safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Test materials to product specifications for surface area, geometry, strength and other properties.
• Prepare samples and arrange offsite testing with vendors.
• Follow methods to produce accurate, reliable data with high precision measurements.
• Maintain lab and equipment on the manufacturing floor.
• Document results in electronic and paper records.
• Release recycles, raw materials, batches and QC samples per procedures.
• Communicate quality alerts and audit findings across the organization.
• Perform Module Workmanship and PPM audits.
• Audit processes, setups, and control plans.
• Write SOPs, WI’s, PCRs, DCRs and corrective actions as needed.
