Job summary

Loparex is seeking a Lab Technician for the Hammond, WI team. You will work with production to ensure quality product standards and perform various tests including coat weights, moisture, and adhesion.

Responsibilities include data entry, defect inspection, and labeling/retention of samples while maintaining a clean, organized lab environment. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and 401K matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of plant experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures.
• Basic math and computer skills (data entry).
• Good written and oral communication.
• Ability to work in a team and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Cut, identify, and prepare samples from production for testing; document results.
• Test for coat weights, adhesion, release, extractables, moisture, and physical properties.
• Inspect samples for defects and ensure material conformance; report issues.
• Enter data into quality databases and spreadsheets as required.
• Prepare samples for customers and store them appropriately.
• Assist in training new lab staff and keep the lab organized at shift end.
