Job summary

You will perform root-cause analysis, manage corrective actions, and coordinate with multiple departments to keep the Quality System Plan on track. This is a full-time, on-site role emphasizing accurate testing and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 2-3 years part inspection experience.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and measurement equipment.
• Experience with 8D corrective actions and root-cause analysis preferred.
• Mistake-proofing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents corrective action requests and nonconforming reports.
• Investigates root-cause and initiates long-term actions.
• Controls non-conforming area to review, rework or scrap as needed.
• Acts as Element Champion for ISO.
• Generates weekly reports on nonconformances and external issues.

• Documents and completes all internal and external requests for Corrective Action as well as all nonconforming materials reports.
• Investigates and documents root-cause analysis and initiates and completes long-term actions.
• Controls the non-conforming area to ensure that all non-conforming product is adequately reviewed for possible rework or scrap. Ensures no product is allowed to continue in the production process unless adequately tested to meet all customer requirements.
• Acts as the Element Champion for ISO
• Generates weekly reports detailing current nonconformances and all external issues.
• Coordinates problem-solving efforts to ensure that all aspects of any problem are reviewed and acted upon to conform to the quality system plan.
• Interacts with customers to ascertain problems and complaints with the objective to resolve these problems and complaints using team-oriented problem-solving techniques.
• Trains workers in the inspection and testing procedures necessary to ensure the quality of the operations being performed.
• Interacts among all departments to ensure that they know and understand the Quality System Plan.
• Trains department co-workers in proper root-cause analysis for cross-functional team development. Performs all sampling and part approval inspection necessary to meet customer requirements.

Performs calibration and properly operates equipment such as CMM, Romer, etc.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years part inspection experience with knowledge of blueprint reading and use of equipment. A solid background in Quality System procedures is needed, along with experience in 8-d corrective actions, root-cause analysis and mistake-proofing is preferred
