Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a quality control technician to maintain testing protocols, analyze results, and ensure products meet quality specifications. The role involves testing batches, interpreting data, and guiding production adjustments to uphold customer requirements.

Responsibilities include data entry, paperwork generation, sample handling, and supporting ISO and safety systems. The position emphasizes collaboration across departments and ongoing training for lab staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tests are completed and results meet specifications before proceeding to the next production step.
• Enter batch data into the electronic batch records system.
• Generate paperwork per customer specifications.
• Gather and send customer samples as required.
• Use computer systems to test products effectively.
• Determine disposition of non-conforming finished goods.
• Place non-conforming material on hold as needed.
• Support ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems.
• Maintain lab supplies inventory.
• Identify and communicate product issues to other departments.
• Create and update standard operating procedures for the Quality Department to meet ISO requirements.
• Assist in training other lab technicians as needed.

Education

Associate's degree or higher in Chemistry
