Job summary

Constantia Flexibles Blythewood is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the manufacturing team. You will perform in-process, in-line, and final inspections of high-performance flexible packaging material, generate required customer documentation, and release products for shipment after accuracy reviews.

You will also maintain lab files, handle HOLD dispositions, and assist in improving quality, reducing waste, and increasing overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-process inspections.
• Monitors product quality with production team.
• Performs final product inspections and generates customer documentation.
• Releases product for shipment and forwards documents to specified personnel.
• Disposes material on HOLD and checks equipment operation.
• Generates and distributes Quality Lab paperwork for each production order.
• Assists production team to improve quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
• Maintains lab retain files and inventories lab supplies.
• Recommends quality, safety and efficiency improvements and cost-reduction opportunities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs in-process inspections.
• Monitors product quality in conjunction with production team.
• Performs final product inspections, generates customer required documentation, reviews documents for accuracy and releases product for shipment. Forwards customer documentation to specified personnel.
• Dispositions material on HOLD.
• Checks equipment operation within the prescribed frequency.
• Generates and distributes Quality Lab paperwork for each production order.

Must be able to work a 2,23 shift
