Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a Quality Intern to join our Indianapolis Manufacturing Plant and Distribution Center on-site. This hourly internship offers exposure to cross-functional work across Sales, Engineering, Quality, Production and Research while developing practical industry skills.

Qualified students are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing or business with strong attention to detail and solid communication.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and very task-oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Interns will work on tasks in Sales, Engineering, Quality, Production and Research.
• Participation in client and consultant meetings and research initiatives.
• Get exposure to and learn about the production side of the business.

The role is on-site at our Indianapolis Manufacturing Plant and Distribution Center, not a remote opportunity.

Scope:

Interns will be involved in work and/or research centered on key roles supported by Heartland FPG including Sales, Engineering, Quality, Production and Research. Interns could also have the opportunity to participate in client and consultant meetings as well as communication and research initiatives. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in and learn about the production side of the business.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related technical field
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Very task-oriented
• Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  · Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

  · Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time.

  · Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend

  · Must possess visual acuity to document company records

  · Continuous walking throughout plant and distribution center.

  · Lifting up to 40 pounds
