Job summary

Konik in Osseo, MN is seeking a Quality Inspector or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support fabrication of welded assemblies, vessels, and piping for demanding industrial applications. You will interpret drawings, verify workmanship to codes, and guide welders with technical insight.

Collaboration with engineering and production is essential, with occasional travel to sites or suppliers and involvement in NDT activities to resolve quality issues promptly.

Qualifications

• AWS-CWI certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• 3+ years in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3, AWS D1.1, ASTM and ASME codes.
• Experience with WPS, PQR, and welder qualification records.
• NDT methods experience or related certifications.
• Trade/technical training in welding and inspection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of welds, vessels, piping, and assemblies.
• Verify fabrication against drawings, specs, and codes.
• Serve as technical resource for welders and fabrication personnel.
• Review welding documentation (WPS, PQR, WQTRs) and records.
• Inspect vessels, skidded systems, and specialty piping components.
• Document results with clear reports and photos.
• Coordinate inspection activities with engineering and production.
• Participate in NDT activities and corrective actions.
• Occasional travel to suppliers or project sites.
