Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Quality Inspector in Houston, TX to ensure products meet visual and dimensional requirements. This role requires inspecting parts across production, reviewing IPC sheets, and communicating discrepancies.

Candidates should have at least 1 year in manufacturing, be able to read blueprints and gauges, and calmly document quality issues. On-site position in a warehouse environment with PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Must be able to instruct operators how to use all functional gauges.
• Must be able to read and understand measuring devices (e.g., measuring tape, square).
• Prior experience with hand tools is desired.
• Must have thorough verbal and written communication skills to describe quality conditions.
• Must be organized and able to operate with some independence.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints/work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Check parts for visual and dimensional defects in all production departments.
• Check in process inspection paperwork / IPC sheets.
• Communicates potential discrepancies and writes up non-conformance reports if necessary.
• Report all issues to department leads and supervisors.
• Works with Quality and production staff to ensure quality standards.
