Job description

Quality Inspector

This role has a five day/week on-site expectation.

Sunday to Thursday 11:00pm to 7:00am

The Quality Inspector I is responsible for ensuring product quality by completing first piece, in‑process, and final product inspections while maintaining a record of all inspection data.

What you will do

• Read customer print to work order.
• Read customer prints and associated job documentation and ensure all requirements are met, including basic dimensions, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, surface finish, material type, and plating/finish requirements.
• Record and archive inspection results.
• Write up parts requiring reworks or remakes via non‑conformance reports and route them to the proper operations.
• Complete first article inspection (FAI) reports when required by the customers.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following all plant rules.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the workplace and ensure all tools are properly stored and accounted for when not in use.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What it takes

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer‑screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Able to use measuring instruments such as scales and calipers.
• Able to work safely with sharp tools/objects such as hobby knives, utility knives, and diagonal‑cutting pliers.
• Able to use a computer and calculator.
• Able to read and write in English and do basic arithmetic.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Must be punctual and have good attendance.
• Strong attention to detail is required.

$18.51 - $24 an hour

Work Environment

Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in a manufacturing area exposed to machinery and noise; with eye protection and safety shoes required. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
