Job description

The QA Inspector works in a team to achieve warehouse goals and performs duties such as shipping, packing, loading, unloading, and sorting. They are responsible for quality control and ensuring timely completion of production tasks. This role involves coordinating daily production with Operations & Quality Leadership Teams and interfacing with other departments as needed. The inspector conducts quality inspections of materials and processes, using system solutions and measuring/test equipment to determine quality acceptance and follow-up actions.

Responsibilities
  1. Meet daily quality inspection goals per program.
  2. Perform work accurately and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  3. Monitor and ensure daily orders meet service levels.
  4. Record inspection results on forms/scanners.
  5. Communicate production needs and issues to departments.
  6. Assist with controlling, documenting, and processing non-conforming materials or products.
  7. Support the Quality Manager with data entry, QMS compliance, and research for corrective actions.
  8. Ensure correct materials and documents are used.
  9. Verify final production meets customer specifications.
  10. Ship orders using various systems when required.
  11. Review batch records and coordinate issues with supervisors.
  12. Adhere to the company's Quality Policy and participate in the QMS.
  13. Act as backup to the Lead when necessary.
  14. Verify production staff follow quality procedures.
  15. Escalate procedural or quality issues.
  16. Work with Operations to develop production forecasts and plans.
  17. Inspect incoming materials for damage and compliance.
  18. Inspect distribution packaging and operations processes.
  19. Conduct process and out-of-box audits, record data, and follow up.
  20. Inspect shipping paperwork for accuracy.
  21. Support departmental process improvements.
  22. Follow safety and hygiene regulations.
  23. Maintain 5S standards.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Problem-solving skills for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Basic computer skills in Outlook; willingness to learn others like Excel, Word, SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Basic visual and math skills.
  • Good attendance, self-starter, capable of working independently.
  • Adaptable to change, cross-training, and overtime as needed.
  • Experience in fast-paced warehouse environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of material management systems like SAP; certifications like Lean Six Sigma are preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
