WEG Electric Corp. (USA) is seeking a Quality Technician to oversee internal quality control processes and coordinate inspector activities to ensure top product quality.

You will work with cross-functional teams across Engineering and Manufacturing to drive continuous improvement and maintain inspection SOPs. The role requires an Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) and strong proficiency with office tools; experience with SAP, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment required.
• Experience with electric motors strongly desired.
• Familiarity with production planning software and ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
• Experience with modeling/tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks helpful.
• Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills required.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and techniques.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the inspection/tester activities, coaching inspectors/testers on tool use to improve product quality.
• Enforce customer/supplier philosophy throughout the plant.
• Support the repair and inspection staff on quality records usage.
• Audit plant critical processes periodically, identify weak points and suggest improvements.
• Establish a network with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, etc. to assist in problem-solving.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers on data collection for complex projects.
• Participate in analysis of customer returns as needed.
• Participate on cross-functional teams to evaluate quality issues.
