Job summary

Wakefield Thermal is seeking a Quality Inspector to support Operations, Manufacturing and Procurement in meeting quality objectives and reducing disruptions. The role focuses on 100% first piece and receiving inspections, nonconformance management, and documentation control.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, proficient in MS Office, and the ability to read drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• MS Office products including Word & Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, specifications, and requirements.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desire and mindset to drive actions and projects to closure without being prompted.

Responsibilities

• First Piece Inspection of any required product with 100% validation to conformance.
• Completing Receiving Inspection with verification of dimensional, paperwork, expirations, and other information.
• Roaming Inspection to ensure operator inspections and accuracy.
• Final Inspection to ensure batch/lot conformance via 100% or sampling.
• Generate documentation packages for outgoing products (COC, raw material, etc.).
• Daily/Weekly reporting on relevant quality metrics (e.g., rejections).
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Procurement to address nonconforming material and close issues.
