Job summary

Wakefield Thermal is seeking a Quality Inspector to support Operations, Manufacturing, and Procurement to meet quality objectives and reduce disruptions. You will verify conformance, document results, and communicate nonconformances to drive corrective actions.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and strong collaboration across functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient with MS Office Word & Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform 100% first piece inspections and 100% validation per flowdown requirements.
• Conduct receiving inspections including dimensions, paperwork, expirations, and other information for conformance.
• Roaming inspection to verify operator inspections and accuracy of performed inspections.
• Perform final inspections and ensure batch/lot conforms (100% or sampling).
• Generate documentation packages for outgoing product (CoC, Raw Material, etc.).
• Prepare daily/weekly quality metric reports (rejections).
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Procurement to address nonconforming material and coordinate actions.
• Manage nonconforming material and dispositions, including supplier nonconformances and customer returns.
• Assist in root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and organize company documents with proper version control.
• Assure accessibility of documents per control protocols.
• Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
