Job summary

SMF – part of Etnyre International, Minonk, IL, is hiring a Quality Inspector for 1st and 2nd shifts. You will support manufacturing, perform inspections, and document results to ensure quality. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $26.54 per hour.

This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and annual wage increases, plus a $2.50/hour shift premium for 2nd shift, paid holidays, and generous PTO. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required to thrive in a fast-paced metal fabrication

Responsibilities

• Hands-on with manufacturing: support production, troubleshoot parts & fixtures.
• Inspection pro: perform receiving checks, audits, weld certifications, and document results.
• Metrology master: gauge repair, calibrations, and station verifications.
• Keep it clean: maintain organized work areas for smooth operations.
• Quality guardian: inspect rejected/reworked material, track non-conforming parts, and escalate issues.
• Process evaluator: ensure proper gauges at machine stations & recommend improvements.
