Panthalassa is seeking a qualified Quality Inspector to join our on-site team in Portland, Oregon. You will inspect machined components to ensure they meet engineering drawings and specifications using precision tools, document results, and identify nonconformities to prevent defects downstream.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical inspection, strong GD&T knowledge, and the ability to communicate clearly with engineering and manufacturing.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in mechanical inspection or quality control.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and ASME Y14.5/GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision inspection tools.
• Knowledge of helicoils, Keenserts, AS5202 port threads, and surface finishes.
• Strong attention to detail & clear inspection documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication with manufacturing and engineering teams.

Aufgaben

• Inspect machined components for compliance with drawings and specs.
• Use calipers, micrometers, profilometers, thread gages, pin gages to verify dimensions.
• Perform visual inspections for burrs, damage, FOD, and workmanship issues.
• Document inspection results clearly and maintain records.
• Identify nonconforming parts and write nonconformance reports with data.
• Collaborate with engineering/manufacturing to resolve part conformity questions.
