Job summary

OMCO, a MacLean-Fogg Company, is seeking a Quality Inspector for our Wickliffe, OH facility. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections, verify product specs, and document results to support quality throughout production.

You will use precision measuring tools, review drawings, and help drive corrective actions with the team. The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to collaborate with production and quality personnel.

Qualifications

• No formal education requirement.
• 0–2 years of related quality inspection experience is acceptable.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Clear verbal and written communication to document findings.
• Ability to collaborate with inspectors, production, and supervisors.
• Pre-employment drug screen after conditional offer.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications.
• Conduct first-piece inspections before full production.
• Use and maintain precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to evaluate dimensions and deviations.
• Review engineering drawings and quality standards for accurate inspections.
• Record inspection results and documentation in tracking systems and logs.
• Identify defects and communicate findings to ensure corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, safe 5S‑driven inspection area and follow PPE policies.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies.
